Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Boxing Instructor to join the team in Washington D.C. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.

 Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Instruct, and demonstrate to members, the skills and practices of boxing.
  • Establish a client base through boxing demonstrations and one-on-one sessions with members.
  • Initiate and maintain sales of boxing sessions and packages with members.
  • Coordinate and schedule client sessions and keep records of schedule.
  • Plan and execute skills training plans with clients.
  • Set up and cleanup of session space and equipment used.
  • Conduct timely and professional communication with members, team members, and managers both in person and written (email).
  • Meet with Personal Training managers to discuss business.
  • Optional attendance of Personal Training team meetings and coaching development workshops.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • Preferred: Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification as well as experience in either boxing or personal training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess honesty and personal integrity.
  • Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding the fitness industry.
  • Excel in time management, organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching. As well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time.

Pay Transparency $65-$80 per class, $17.95/hr for non-class work
