Our BOX TO THE BEAT methodology uses BPMs to pair music with movement to drive a hyper-efficient workout and fun experience and our captivating coaches guide you through a powerful mind and body experience to bring out your inner fighter. We’re not just building better boxers, we’re building better people using the deep connection between boxing and stress relief, empowerment, and focus. Mental health is foundational to our brand and the number one reason our boxers come back is the mental clarity and stress relief they find within our walls.
DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for our next rock star to take the stage at BoxUnion (BU). At BU, you can make a difference every day in someone’s life while building an exciting career in fitness. As a Coach, you will teach a 45-minute sweat-wicking heavy bag workout that combines music and our box-to-the-beat method. Every punch, breath, and movement is done to the beat of the music. The music is loud, and the lights are low, it’s a place for everyone to leave it all on the bag. Be the spark that inspires someone to keep training, to try harder, and to live healthier.
BRAND STANDARDS amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver classes: teach a 45-minute box-to-the-beat class that follows our weekly boxing programming while also creating a playlist in accordance with our BPM theory that drives the experience
  • Playlisting: create new playlists every week to follow our daily programming
  • Pre/Post class: arrive at the studio 20 minutes prior to the start of class time to engage with members and first-time visitors, as well as stay 15 minutes post class to help transition the studio to the next class as well as engage with members
  • Run our BU sales process: work with the front of house to run our dedicated sales process with first-time visitors
  • Monthly meetings: attend 1 monthly coach workshop or virtual meeting
  • Private training: sell and deliver private training sessions (if applicable). Private training can be either boxing, strength, or a combination of both

SKILLS amp; QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior boutique group fitness instruction experience is required
  • Previous boxing experience is considered a bonus
  • Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique
  • Able to coach, motivate, and inspire members at every stage of their fitness journey
  • Present and sell private training (when applicable)
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build a loyal client base
  • Performance experience is preferred (dance, acting, theater, etc.)

CERTIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness, or related field or an approved Personal Training Certification (listed below), preferred but not required:
  • ACSM, ACE, Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research, C.H.E.K, IFPA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA Global, W.I.T.S.
