Job description

Position Overview:
  • BOX TRUCK Delivery, 
  • Business to Business, $26.50 / hour.
  •  Work schedule is Mon to Fri 8:15 AM to 6:15 PM, No Weekends, occasional OT.
  • To qualify for this rate you must have PROVEN multi-point BOX TRUCK delivery experience within the DC METRO area, according to our standards, and be familiar with the main roads that feed into 495, both inside and outside the beltway.  Preferably you will live within approximately 35 minutes of Frederick.
  • Your work history should be local, not spotty or intermittent, and demonstrate stability and reliability.
 About the Job:
  • Drive new cab over 16' box trucks with aluminum lift-gates. 65% of deliveries are dock to dock, All are business deliveries.  No inside deliveries except for small items. 
  • Help pull your own deliveries and load your own truck.  
  • Routes vary each day, but pickup and delivery locations will repeat.   
  • All drivers will be in communication with their dispatcher - supervisor throughout the day. 
  • All applicants will be required to maintain a good attendance record and have a positive, cooperative, attitude. 
  • Safety and Dependability are high on our list of requirements. Very little lifting, if you know how to use heavy-duty hand trucks, and material handling equipment.  
PAY:
  • PAY IS PAID BI-MONTHLY (Calculated against 1st thru 15th) & (16th thru EOM). 
  • 80 HOURS PRO-RATED PAID ANNUAL VACATION. 
  • 8 PAID HOLIDAYS according to Company Policy. 
Qualifications:
  • You must have a current DOT card or be able to obtain one. 
  • You must have a maximum MVA driving record of 3 points and bring your motor vehicle driving record, obtainable online, to the interview.
