Job description

Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Warehouse Associates for our Lincolnshire client.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Job Summary:

Picking:
  • Accurately pick products as per the pick list, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected
  • Follow specific picking instructions, including the method of shipping and handling of special items
  • Perform verification checks to ensure the correct items are picked and are in sellable condition
  • Update inventory through the FIFO system and manage stock rotation
Packing:
  • Conduct final verification of items, ensuring order accuracy before shipment
  • Choose appropriate packaging materials and box sizes for the items
  • Securely pack items, using bubble wrap and air cushioning as needed, especially for fragile goods
  • Accurately record box dimensions and weight, and ensure that the pick list is completed and ready for the manager
Receiving Inventory:
  • Oversee the receipt of inventory, ensuring that all items are checked against the packing list and inspected for damage or discrepancies
  • Efficiently stock received items into their designated locations within the warehouse
  • Coordinate with the manager to update inventory records and handle any discrepancies
Loading/Unloading:
  • Operate machinery and vehicles such as forklifts to load and unload goods
  • Work closely with the manager and truck drivers to manage paperwork and ensure the accuracy of the freight
  • Immediately report any damage or inventory issues to the manager
Inventory Restocking:
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform routine restocking of products to ensure availability
