Job description

As an MJR Cast Member, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include responsibilities in one or more areas including Box Office, Usher, or Concessions.

Box Office Cashiers are the first friendly face at the entrance of each MJR building. They have an opportunity to make every experience memorable as they welcome each guest to the theatre. They will:

  • Assist with guest movie selection and ticket purchase(s)
  • Operate the box office cash register for ticket and gift card sales
  • Monitor showtime attendance levels
  • Receive and direct phone calls
  • Provide general customer service and other duties as assigned

Ushers own the general vibe, maintain the common floor areas of the building and can be expected to:

  • Greet patrons as they enter and exit the theatre
  • Facilitate guest ticket-receiving
  • Assist with crowd control
  • Monitor auditoriums for presentation quality and potential disruption
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas and restroom facilities and auditoriums
  • Provide general customer service and other duties as assigned

Concession Cast Members elevate guest experiences by providing quick and friendly services in the followingย  the sale, service and preparation of food and beverage items in a professional and friendly and are responsible for:

  • Cash register operation/cash handling
  • Popcorn kettle operation
  • Preparation of ready to eat foods such as pretzel bites, hot dogs, nachos, etc.
  • Cleaning and maintaining of select food service equipment
  • Complying with applicable food safety laws as enforced by the local health department
  • Providing general customer service and other duties as assigned
