Job description

PHA Michigan LLC is seeking a Box Builder on 2nd Shift (3:30p - 12:00a) to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. This position is responsible for assembling corrugated boxes and packaging materials used in the automotive production process. This role supports assembly line operations by ensuring boxes are built accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work assigned shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assemble corrugated boxes and packaging materials according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Inspect boxes for quality, accuracy, and proper construction.
  • Removal of labels from incoming packaging.
  • Maintain a steady supply of completed boxes to support production and assembly lines.
  • Movement of completed production material from production lines into proper area.
  • Follow standardized work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality procedures.
  • Use basic hand tools and equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Identify and report material shortages, defects, or equipment issues to supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and production staff.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • All the above functions require varying degrees of independence, judgement, and discretion and the ability to be mobile within the work area.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment handling repetitive tasks.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior manufacturing or production assembly experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as production needs require.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to lift up to 3050 pounds.
  • Able to stand for up to 8hour shifts.
  • Due to the nature of this role and applicable safety and labor laws, only candidates who are 18 years of age or older will be considered. Sponsorship for employment is not available for this position.
