Job description

Now Hiring: Bowling Technician
Location: Apex Entertainment Albany
Do you have a knack for mechanical systems and a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Apex Entertainment is seeking a skilled Bowling Technician to maintain and service our bowling lanes and equipment. This is a hands-on role where your expertise ensures guests enjoy safe, seamless, and fun bowling experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance
  • Maintain and repair Brunswick GSX pinsetters, Custodian lane machines, scoring systems, ball returns, bowling balls, and related components
  • Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on all bowling equipment
  • Clean, adjust, and troubleshoot automated scoring systems

Parts & Repairs
  • Identify and order necessary replacement parts and supplies
  • Perform major overhauls and rebuilds as needed to keep equipment in top condition

Budget & Planning
  • Assist in planning and managing service and maintenance budgets
  • Contribute to long-term repair and improvement plans for bowling equipment

Record Keeping & Training
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance
  • Train and supervise hourly pin chaser staff on basic equipment care and safety
Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining and repairing bowling and pinsetter equipment (Brunswick preferred)
  • Completion of a Brunswick training program is a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lubrication and testing equipment
  • Must be safety-conscious and able to work independently
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift
  • Comfortable with tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
  • Will work primarily indoors with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures or loud noise
  • May face risks associated with mechanical or electrical equipment
