Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties to facilitate and maintain quality riddling in the method champenoise; also responsible for production / bottling work, and may rotate between all stations on tirage and disgorge bottling lines. Responsible for the inventory control and traceability for all Mumm Napa tirage and riddled inventories including processing of transactions, and data entry activities. Ensures adherence to all principles of Trinchero Integrated Management System and Sustainability programs.
Essential Functions:
  • Directs riddling functions by hand and mechanical means in method champenoise
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the transfer robot, mixer, and Gyro machines
  • Maintains mechanical riddling, and transfer equipment including changeovers, troubleshooting, and light repairs
  • Transfers and tracks bottles, cages, and bins as required in the Mix-Riddle department
  • Delivers completely riddled wines to the disgorge line in support of bottling operations
  • Responsible for the inventory control of tirage and riddled inventory
  • Assists with the data entry and reporting of mix riddle movements/transactions, both internally and between offsite storage locations
  • Responsible for quality control and traceability of Mumm Napa tirage and riddled inventory
  • Trouble shoots all quality and inventory related issues; completes problem solving and investigations assigned
  • Provides back-up support on all stations for disgorge and tirage bottling operations
  • Moves product and supplies throughout the warehouse by use of forklift
  • May coordinate and or deliver goods/documentation between departments
  • Responsible for all sustainability matters in assigned work area, completes regularly scheduled inspections/audits, and notifies supervisor of any required attention
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Minimum 2 years winery & forklift experience in production environment required
  • Ability to prioritize, manage workflow, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in ERP software systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
  • Previous riddling experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Working Conditions:
  • Moderate to heavy physical work
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates' facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (10 hours per day)
  • Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses
  • Exposure to various chemicals in production areas
  • Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment
  • Long and irregular hours during peak periods or on various shifts
  • Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds

Salary Range: $23.00 - $29.00
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
