Job Description
  • Responsible for logistics planning for one or more value streams.  This includes forecasting, supplier planning, customer planning and inventory management.

  • Understand customer requirements, both short term and long term.  Communicate to the organization anything that may need action-i.e. customer shutdowns, significant increases or decreases in requirements, etc.

  • Ensure supplier releases are accurate and being sent as planned.  Notify the organization of anything of concern-i.e. past due status, supplier shutdown or other production interruption, stop ship notifications, supplier capacity constraints, etc.

  • Communicate customer requirements and supplier constraints to the production areas.

  • Provide logistical expertise during new product launches and engineering changes.

  • Procure material from a list of supplier-both internal and external to the plant.  Activities would include delivery tracking, expediting and logistical supplier development.  Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities to achieve both plant and LOG targets.

  • Manage and monitor desired material components parameters to optimize inventory levels while still supporting planned production

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant function desired, equivalent years of relevant and directly related work experience will be considered in lieu of degree

  • Proven experience in customer and/or supplier planning - 1+ years

  • Strong SAP knowledge in planning - customer and supplier

  • Sounds MS Office skills-specifically with Excel

  • Strong problem solving , analytical skills attention to detail and communication skills

  • Demonstrated proactive approach and results orientation.

  • Drive for continuous improvement.
