Job description

Borrell Electric is seeking a skilled Lead Low Voltage Technician with experience in access control, camera surveillance, intercom and other low-voltage specialties. The ideal candidate should provide excellent customer service, be a leader in the field and professional in appearance. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ field experience.  If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a strong understanding of low voltage systems, we want to hear from you. Experience with electrified mechanical hardware is a ++.  Advancement opportunities are available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage systems.
2. Terminate Ethernet cables following industry standards for structured cabling systems.
3. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of low voltage

     systems.
7. Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment installed, and configuration changes

    made to facilitate tracking and maintenance.
8. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in a timely and efficient manner.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance expertise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician.
2. Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, door controllers, card readers,

     networking, IP cameras, and structured cabling.
3. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing low-voltage installations.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
5. Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a  

     team.
8. Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks performed.
9. Ability to work 40 hours per week. 7:30am-4:00pm
Education and Certifications:
1. High school diploma
2. Certifications in low-voltage security related systems are required.
Working Conditions:
1. This role may require working in various indoor and outdoor environments, including construction sites, data centers, office buildings, and customer premises.
2. Job will involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, as well as using tools, ladders and other equipment to perform job duties. Safety awareness.

Work Locations: All work will be in the Tampa, Florida area.

Compensation based upon experience. $30.00 + HR
