Job description

Physician (MD/DO) - Family or Internal Medicine

Integrative & Functional Medicine
Full-Time | In-Office | Grand Rapids, Michigan

About Born Clinic
Born Clinic is an established leader in integrative and functional medicine, with more than 40 years of experience providing personalized, whole-person care. We combine evidence-based conventional medicine with advanced diagnostics and integrative therapies to identify and address the underlying factors contributing to chronic illness and help patients achieve lasting health and wellness.

Our multidisciplinary team is committed to thoughtful, relationship-based medicine and creating an environment where providers have the time, resources, and support to deliver meaningful patient care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) who is interested in a more personalized and proactive approach to medicine.

Whether you already have experience in functional and integrative medicine or are looking to transition away from the traditional high-volume healthcare model, this is an opportunity to join an established practice where you can build meaningful patient relationships, explore the root causes of illness, and help patients work toward long-term health.

We provide structured onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing support to physicians who are newer to functional and integrative medicine.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Care for patients with chronic and complex conditions, including metabolic dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions, digestive concerns, hormonal imbalances, and other chronic health concerns
  • Utilize and interpret advanced diagnostic and laboratory testing to help identify underlying contributors to illness
  • Integrate evidence-based conventional, functional, and integrative treatment approaches
  • Educate and empower patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes that support long-term health
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, nutritional support, IV services, and other wellness professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
What We're Looking For
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Current Michigan medical license or ability to obtain licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Experience or a strong interest in integrative and functional medicine
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care
  • Interest in collaborative, relationship-based medicine
  • Willingness to opt out of Medicare; guidance and support are provided
Why Join Born Clinic?
  • More meaningful patient care โ€” focus on the whole person rather than a high-volume visit model
  • Established integrative practice with more than four decades of experience
  • Predictable schedule designed to support continuity of care and work-life balance
  • Collaborative clinical environment with a multidisciplinary team
  • Structured onboarding and mentorship in functional and integrative medicine
  • Ongoing learning and professional development
  • Competitive compensation
  • Potential for future leadership opportunities
  • The opportunity to practice medicine with greater emphasis on prevention, wellness, and the underlying drivers of chronic disease

Join Born Clinic and help us continue more than 40 years of providing thoughtful, individualized care to our community.
