The primary technical resource for complex machinery and technician development. Will support leading high-impact automation projects, troubleshoot sophisticated CNC and PLC systems, and act as a hands-on mentor for the maintenance technician team.

Key responsibilities
Safety and Health
  • Participates in all required EHS training.
  • Promptly reports unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and compliant manner.

Energy
  • Participates in energy management activities that may be assigned.
  • Identifies energy improvements and energy optimization through the natural course of the role making sound judgements on energy conservation
  • Performs energy use readings or measurements on equipment; and completing required documentation.

Quality
  • Understands the impact of individual responsibilities on product quality and consistently performs activities that support achieving, sustaining, and improving quality standards.
  • Adheres to customer requirements and recognizes the risks associated with producing or allowing non-conforming product.

Technician
  • Special Projects: Lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of new CNC machinery and automated cells.
  • Mentorship: Provide one-on-one coaching for technicians on electrical schematics, troubleshooting logic, and safety.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Act as the final escalation point for complex failures in Allen Bradley PCLs and automation.
  • Toolroom Operations: Fabricate or repair obsolete parts and custom fixtures using shop machinery (mills, lathes, etc.).
  • System Optimization: Modernize aging hydraulic and pneumatic systems to improve reliability and cycle times.
  • CNC & Automation: Expert troubleshooting of multi-axis CNC machines and robotic cells.
  • Allen Bradley Proficiency: Confident navigating RSLogix/Studio 5000 to diagnose logic and I/O Issues.
  • Multi-Trade Mastery: High-level skills in Industrial Electric (3-phase/controls), Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.
  • Toolroom Experience: Skilled in using shop equipment to support customer project needs.

What we're looking for
  • 10 plus years related hands on experience and/or training, 5 plus years of working in a manufacturing environment in a technician role preferred.
  • Other requirements - Proficient in Word & Excel; problems solving & analysis understanding; self-directed and work with minimum supervision.
