Bookkeeper / Billing Specialist | The Carabetta Companies
Location: Meriden, CT
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

The Carabetta Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Billing Specialist to support the financial operations of one of our affiliated businesses. This position is based out of our corporate office in Meriden, CT and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and professionalism are essential.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Review supporting documentation to ensure billing accuracy.

  • Enter and reconcile billing transactions in QuickBooks.

  • Track costs, expenses, and financial data using Microsoft Excel and other business software.

  • Post customer payments and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.

  • Monitor outstanding balances and professionally communicate with customers regarding billing questions and payment status.

  • Work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate billing information.

  • Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reporting.

  • Maintain organized financial records and support additional bookkeeping and administrative functions as needed.

Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of experience in bookkeeping, billing, accounting, or administrative support.

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data entry.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with inventory-based, retail, hospitality, food service, construction, or service-industry accounting is a plus.
