Job description

Position Overview

Sunline Products is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper / QuickBooks Specialist to take ownership of the day-to-day financial organization of our fast-paced production company.

This role is responsible for maintaining clean, accurate, and audit-ready financial records, ensuring proper expense categorization, managing AP/AR, and delivering real-time financial visibility to leadership.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally strong in QuickBooks, understands operational accounting in a production environment, and can identify and resolve discrepancies without direction.

This is not a data-entry role. This position requires ownership, accuracy, and the ability to keep the financial side of the business running clean at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
  • Accurately categorize all company expenses and transactions
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, merchant accounts, and loans
  • Own accounts payable, including vendor management and payment scheduling
  • Maintain accounts receivable and support collections follow-up
  • Monitor and track job costing, production expenses, and operational spend
  • Maintain clean and accurate general ledger records
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership review
  • Perform payroll reconciliation
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Coordinate with external CPA for tax preparation and compliance
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready financial documentation at all times
  • Protect confidentiality of all company financial information

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience (5+ preferred)
  • Advanced QuickBooks experience REQUIRED
  • Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger management
  • Proven ability to categorize expenses accurately and consistently
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or operational environments preferred
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems without oversight
  • Strong communication and follow-through

Preferred Experience

  • QuickBooks certification
  • Experience with inventory tracking or job costing
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP
  • Experience cleaning up disorganized books or correcting historical entries

Candidate Evaluation (Required)

Compensation & Schedule
