Based in Madison Mississippi, Sunray operates great brands including Palm Beach Tan tanning salons, Hampton Inn Hotel and Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and Massage Envy clinics.

The ideal Accounting Clerk candidate is self-motivated, positive, and works well both individually and with other corporate office staff members. Someone who is organized, analytical, and looks for efficiencies and improvements in their position would be a great fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
  • Reconcile vendor and bank accounts in a timely manner.
  • Accounts payable processing for multiple entities
  • Sales/ Use Tax Preparation and processing
  • Capture and record Accounts receivable transactions
  • Month end closing journal entries and balance sheets
  • Draft Monthly Financial statements for review by Accounting Manager
  • Aid and support company personnel in corporate office and field
  • Assist in special projects as requested.

Required:

  • Previous experience in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Experience with cloud-based or similar accounting systems

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in accounting, Finance or familiar field
  • 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable with multiple entities/companies
  • Sales/Use Tax experience
