What You’ll Do
  • Client Bookkeeping Support: Perform monthly accounting and bookkeeping functions for a variety of clients using QuickBooks and other accounting software, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Sales amp; Use Tax Compliance: Prepare and file Sales amp; Use Tax Returns in accordance with applicable state and local requirements.
  • Tax amp; Reporting Assistance: Prepare Form 1099s and Personal Property Tax Returns while maintaining compliance with filing deadlines and reporting standards.
  • Financial Record Review: Review incoming client documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, following up as needed to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Client Service amp; Communication: Communicate professionally with clients to gather information, answer questions, and support a positive client experience.
  • Project Support: Assist with special accounting and bookkeeping projects as needed to support client and firm initiatives.
  • Technology amp; Process Utilization: Utilize current accounting tools, software, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, organization, and service delivery.
  • Time amp; Workflow Management: Effectively manage priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

What You Bring
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant professional experience required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required; prior CPA firm experience preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong experience with QuickBooks required; familiarity with additional accounting software platforms is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn firm-specific systems and tools efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
