Pickering Casino Resort is seeking 1 Part-time Booking & Entertainment Services Host!

Under the general direction of the Booking & Entertainment Manager, the Entertainment Services Associate is responsible for coordinating hospitality services at the Arena; presenting our spaces with pride to potential clients and collaborating with other departments to leverage the facility and implement cross promotional ideas. Operating according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the management team for the satisfaction of internal and external guests.

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills, and abilities, executing the following in support of the company's vision, mission, and values: 

  • Coordinates dressing room and venue requirements for external clients and performers. 
  • Coordinates the food and beverage requirements for performers. 
  • Purchases special requirements as per approved rider specifications; tracks inventory; provides cost reports. 
  • Coordinates documentation and cash allocation for buyouts. 
  • Collects sales reports and funds for merchandise sold at shows - balance cash float and submit to manager for audit where applicable. 
  • Liaises with internal and external contacts to determine requirements. 
  • Responds to, resolves issues or escalates issues accordingly. 
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests, employees, vendors, performers, and crew. 
  • Perform other duties as required.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications: 

  • Minimum 1 year of live theatre experience; hospitality experience an asset.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time. 

  • Valid full G driver's license, and clean drivers abstract. 

  • Smart Serve Certification or the ability to achieve a Smart Serve Certification 

  • The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record and credit check. 

  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service oriented communication. 

  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests. 

  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
