We take pride in our experienced and compassionate team of healthcare professionals, which includes two Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Chesapeake, providing a collaborative work environment where innovative treatment techniques are emphasized. With a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, this role allows for work-life balance while you focus on delivering exceptional therapy to your patients.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand each patient’s unique goals, needs, and limitations, ensuring tailored care approaches.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, providing focused attention and detailed treatment planning.
• Develop and implement effective treatment protocols aimed at minimizing pain, promoting movement, and enhancing patients’ physical performance.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate rehabilitation, emphasizing cost-effective treatments that reduce the need for surgical interventions.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' specific recovery goals, adapting plans as necessary based on progress.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and monitor patient progress, maintaining clear communication with patients regarding their rehabilitation journey.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with healthcare documentation standards.
• Encourage and motivate patients through their rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies that address the multi-faceted needs of each patient.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle among patients by focusing on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination as part of their treatment plan.

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse population of patients, predominantly those covered under private medical insurance. The majority of our clientele includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring therapeutic intervention. As a Physical Therapist here, you will have the rewarding opportunity to guide patients of all ages through their recovery process, significantly enhancing their quality of life and functional abilities.

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong manual therapy skills complemented by proficiency in creating effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT, demonstrating an ability to efficiently document patient care.

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, enabling a smoother transition into the team and understanding of specialized treatment protocols.
• Involvement in interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care is also an advantage.
