At Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic, we specialize in providing outstanding care to patients engaged in orthopedic rehabilitation. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed to promote optimal recovery in a welcoming environment. We believe in a patient-centered approach, ensuring that our services cater to the unique needs of each individual. Our clinic comprises a dedicated team, including two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering effective treatment outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office located in the vibrant community of Woodbridge, VA, where you will work directly with patients in a hands-on environment. The typical work schedule follows a Monday to Friday pattern, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you provide critical therapeutic support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and address the unique rehabilitation goals and needs of each patient through comprehensive assessments.
  • Manage a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure personalized attention and effective treatment delivery.
  • Utilize your orthopedic knowledge and previous clinical experience to develop treatment plans incorporating diverse techniques.
  • Provide cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing mobility and overall physical function.
  • Advise patients on non-surgical alternatives and assist in reducing their reliance on medications through natural recovery methods.
  • Implement and customize fitness and wellness programs designed to meet individual patient objectives.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize patient care, while ensuring documented progress notes are maintained for every service rendered.
  • Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and communicate openly with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation journey to achieve optimum physical function.
  • Promote lifestyle modifications that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination across patient populations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Document and track patient progress meticulously, ensuring clear communication during treatment evaluations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders, primarily those covered by private medical insurance. Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no recorded board actions or disciplinary issues.
  • Strong manual therapy skills and practical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings.
  • Ability to devise effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
