Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Owner, the Bonding Agent performs specialized clerical, customer service, and administrative work for the company. Employees in this position are responsible for assisting clients through the bonding process, maintaining accurate records, evaluating client qualifications, and providing professional and timely service. The Bonding Agent must exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and assist clients with bonding information and procedures.
- Research and verify bonding information through computer systems, court records, and telephone communication.
- Evaluate and qualify clients by assessing risk factors and gathering required documentation.
- Complete bond applications and related paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs, records, and documentation for clients and potential clients.
- Perform accurate data entry into Captira bonding software and other company databases.
- Receive, process, and log monetary payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain organized and accurate filing systems, both physical and electronic.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, law enforcement agencies, and indemnitors.
- Ensure confidentiality of client information and company records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bilingual - English and spanish is required
- Previous customer service, clerical, sales, collections, or bail bond experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Must be dependable, professional, and capable of working flexible hours when needed.
Work Environment
This position requires working in an office environment with frequent interaction with clients, courts, and law enforcement agencies. Evening, weekend, and on-call hours may occasionally be required.
