SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician, Mechanical is responsible for conducting the safe execution of mechanical maintenance activities, including breakdowns, corrective and preventative maintenance, at the RGLNG facility. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate proactive safety leadership to the entire Maintenance team.
  • Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of execution team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a positive HSSE reporting culture ensuring that all occurrences provide a learning and improvement opportunity.
  • Be an active and engaged team member ensuring a One-Team approach.
  • Proactively engages and supports all RGLNG personnel including Production, Engineering, Instrument & Controls, Electrical, Plant Services, Specialist Vendors and Contractors upholding the One-Team approach
  • Safely execute all mechanical maintenance activities at the RGLNG facility including breakdowns, corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform Permit Holder requirements for the execution of work at RGLNG.
  • Complete all required maintenance reporting, including updating the CMMS system as following company work processes.
  • Ensure personal training and competency is up to date.
  • Provide support during the Major Maintenance Turnaround events as required.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to support on-site emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Technical degree in Industrial Mechanical or similar or NCCER (Millwright/Pipefitter/Boilermaker).
  • 5+ years of mechanical experience required.
  • 5+ years Industrial Facility experience in Maintenance role preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and push/pull with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Required to grip objects with up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and balancing, including climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, handling, and spinal twisting.
  • Use of hands, arms, and legs to lift, push, and pull machinery and mechanical components.

PREFERRED
  • Experienced in the execution of mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Competent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or Similar)
  • Experience developing and reviewing critical Maintenance procedures.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of an MOC process.
  • Experience in frontline leadership during Turnarounds.
  • Relevant LNG Mechanical Pipefitter maintenance experience including Fabrication and/or repair of piping, etc. using various welding processes as required (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) / Blinding of pipes, vessels, tanks, exchangers, etc. to prepare equipment for operations and maintenance.
  • Mechanical LNG experience including Turbo machinery, compressors, loading arms, PSV's, pumps, motors, vessels, valves, actuators, fin fans and flange management a must.

Job Site Work Environment
• Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
• Operates in a complex construction environment.
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits.
• Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction.
• Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios.
