Job Summary:
Mid-State Industrial Maintenance is always looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals interested in joining our field operations team. This general application is intended for candidates seeking employment in one of our field-based departments when specific openings may not currently be posted.
Applicants may be considered for future opportunities supporting General Industrial Maintenance, Mining Services, Civil Construction, Electrical Services, DOT Transportation, Mechanical Maintenance, Welding, Equipment Operation, and other field-based industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will vary depending on the specific position but may include:
- Performing maintenance, repair, installation, construction, or support activities at customer job sites.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, vehicles, or specialized machinery.
- Assisting with mechanical, electrical, civil, mining, or transportation-related projects.
- Reading and following work instructions, drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Supporting outage, shutdown, turnaround, and emergency response work.
- Assisting with material handling, rigging, equipment setup, and site preparation.
- Operating company vehicles and maintaining required certifications and licenses.
- Following all customer, company, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, foremen, coworkers, and customers.
- Participating in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Trade school, vocational training, certifications, or industry-related education is a plus.

Work Location and Travel:
- Work is performed primarily at customer facilities, project sites, industrial plants, mines, utility sites, construction projects, and other field locations.
- Travel may be required throughout Florida and other states depending on project needs.
- Overtime, weekends, holidays, night shifts, and extended work schedules may be required.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in industrial, construction, utility, mining, transportation, and manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, weather conditions, dust, noise, chemicals, moving equipment, heights, confined spaces, and other industrial hazards may occur.
- Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Physical Requirements:
Talk/Hear: Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and site personnel.
Stand/Sit: Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
Walk: Regular movement throughout job sites, facilities, and work areas.
Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
Climb: May frequently climb ladders, scaffolding, structures, equipment, or elevated work platforms depending on assigned duties.
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Frequently required while performing field-related tasks.
See: Must be able to identify hazards, inspect work, read instructions, and operate equipment safely.
Carry, weight, Lift: Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials, tools, and equipment consistent with assigned duties.
Exposure to work: Regular exposure to industrial, construction, mining, transportation, and utility work environments, including noise, weather, machinery, dust, and other safety-sensitive hazards.
