DescriptionScope of Position:This positionis responsible for maintaining all aspects of the ammonia refrigeration system, boiler, and compressed air maintenance tasks as needed. This positionalsoisresponsible for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on all equipment as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following: other duties as assignedMaintain and complete work orders and preventive maintenance paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain a logbook of all breakdowns and corrective actions takenSchedule shutdowns of equipment and machinery for repairs and maintenance without disrupting productionMaintains, repairs, rebuilds and adjusts ammonia refrigeration, and equipment in areas of responsibility by analyzing, calibrating, replacing, repairing or rebuilding all equipment and machinery within established guidelinesMust be able to safely isolate and pump down any section of all systems.Must be qualified to do routine maintenance on: Ammonia Compressors, Air Compressors,Boilers, Evaporator units, pumps, motors, etc .Utilize time effectively to best minimize equipment downtime and repairsBe safety-minded and follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures for all equipment that is being worked onBe a team player and not afraid to ask for guidance or help when neededBe on call when needed and able to work alone if the situation calls for itReceive and follow training on LOTO, fall protection, confined space, hot work, and any other training deemed necessary to perform the job safely and effectivelyOrder materials and parts as needed for stock or repairs of equipmentMaintain all engine rooms, compressor rooms and roof areas in a high state of cleanliness always.Work with several outside vendors and technicians in a professional mannerAssist maintenance technicians with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as needed or as directed by maintenance leadershipFollow/Implement OSHA 1910.119 PSM StandardPSM/RMP programReports directly to B&R Maintenance ManagerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
