Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Assembler-Tubing to join our First Shift team in Thomasville, GA. The Assembler-Tubing is responsible for miscellaneous duties in PVF, Tubing and Hydro departments.

Job Location: Thomasville, GA

Essential functions:

In addition to successfully performing to standards all duties listed under the Trainee position, the employee must be fully competent in meeting production and quality standards in a minimum of three (3) of the cells listed below:

• Boiler Tube assembly/installation
• Assist with Hydro of Boilers
• Insulation and Jacketing of Boilers
• Must know, understand and abide by all safety rules
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements: Must be at least18 years of age

Physical Skill & Effort: 

Work requires a few simple, but rapid, hand operations; work requires some lifting and pushing/pulling of material as required to count, sort, reconcile, prepare, put away or ship parts; average weight 10 pounds, parts/boxes of materials range from >1 pound up to 65 pounds. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. 40” high and up to 50 lbs. overhead on a regular basis. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on hard cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, and squat. Must be able to read tape measure; read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating/procedure and maintenance instructions. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and work in temperature ranges corresponding with the outside ambient temperatures. Must be able to access all areas of the plant both inside and outside. Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, welding fumes and machine lubricants and/or oils. Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and/or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed shoes, and hard hats. Operates material handling equipment.
