The Plumber/HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in an industrial environment. This position performs preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections and preventative checks on facility systems.
  • Diagnose and repair furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, refrigeration units, and industrial plumbing systems.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Inspect plumbing, drainage, and related systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment required to perform assigned duties.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Work with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, copper, and other piping materials.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components associated with HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Complete assigned projects independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and measurement conversions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for This Position Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • EPA Certification and HVAC-related certifications preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of journeyman-level plumbing experience.
  • Industrial HVAC and mechanical maintenance experience preferred.

Employees may be required to work on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, at elevated heights, and around operating equipment. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.
