Release Train Owner (Senior or Lead)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Release Train Owner(Senior or Lead) to support their Enterprise Services Technology and Systems Data Management Office team in one of the following locations:

  • California: Huntington Beach or Seal Beach
  • Virginia: Arlington
  • Washington: Everett or Renton

This position sits within Boeing's Enterprise Services organization. Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing's products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers - creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise.

We are looking for aRelease Train Ownerto support our transformation journey. The qualified candidate should be curious, looking for insights in data that can turn into actionable and measurable outcomes, and a storyteller at their core.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates Agile Release Train (ART) events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning and retrospectives
  • Tracks program progress, milestones, risks, and issues
  • Measures metrics and work actively with team to improve performance
  • Escalates and resolves impediments affecting delivery
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and business stakeholders
  • Monitors and improves Agile metrics such as velocity, predictability, quality, and delivery performance
  • Coaches teams and leaders on Agile and SAFe practices
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and organizational transformation efforts

Key Relationships & Stakeholders:

  • Enterprise Services Executive Leadership Team
  • Data Science and IT
  • Service Tower Leadership (Indirect Supply Chain, Real Estate, Facilities & Asset Management, Executive Flight)
  • Build external relationships with vendors and/or consultant parties

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer using the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
  • 5+ years of experience working with Azure Dev Ops (ADO) for Agile work management
  • 5+ years of experience managing metrics to drive data driven solutions/decisions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience in taking problems, creating solutions, and executing to deliver value for customers
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching employees
  • Experience delivering business and data analytics solutions in the manufacturing, engineering, aviation or energy sector is a plus
  • Experience in collaborating across the globe
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% domestically
