Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled TIG Aluminum Welder in Griffin, GA. In this precision-focused and rewarding role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality TIG welding on aluminum components while ensuring all welds meet customer specifications and quality standards. In a TIG Aluminum Welder job, you'll be responsible for:

  • Performing TIG welding on aluminum according to blueprints and specifications

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings

  • Setting up and adjusting TIG welding equipment for various material thicknesses

  • Inspecting completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with specifications

  • Measuring, cutting, fitting, and preparing materials prior to welding

  • Grinding, polishing, and finishing welded components as needed

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and reporting equipment issues

  • Following all company safety policies, quality standards, and production schedules

  • Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals

What you'll need:

  • Previous TIG aluminum welding experience is required

  • Must successfully pass a TIG weld test

  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions

  • Strong measuring skills and experience using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools

  • Knowledge of welding safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
