Job Responsibilities for Body Shop Technician:

  • Perform work as outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Teardown and inspect for additional or hidden repairs
  • Advise body shop estimator of additional damage or supplemental needs
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment, and handle company tools properly
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures, use safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary
  • Other projects/initiatives as assigned

Required Skills for Body Shop Technician:

  • Positive attitude, motivated with mechanical aptitude
  • 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Body Shop Technician
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have, or be able to develop through training, a detailed knowledge of commercial truck and body shop repair
  • Successful completion of appropriate welding and fabrication certificate programs, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
  • Must possess a full set of personal hand tools
  • Able to use a personal computer and basic applications
