Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Paint Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a collision repair shop, with a strong focus on preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly prepped and primed for flawless finishes. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Surface Preparation: Sand, clean, and prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, ensuring that all imperfections are addressed before paint application.
  • Masking & Taping: Mask off areas of the vehicle that should not be painted, ensuring a clean and precise finish.
  • Priming: Apply primers and sealers, ensuring uniform application and surface adhesion for the topcoat.
  • Quality Control: Inspect vehicles for surface defects, rust, and other issues, reporting findings to the lead technician or shop manager.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized to ensure an efficient workflow and safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with painters, technicians, and other team members to ensure timely and quality repairs.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of chemicals and materials.
