Full-Time Position

Responsibilities:
  • Observes and assists experienced body shop staff to learn proper techniques, safety protocols, and operational standards.
  • Performs basic body repairs as assigned, including fabricating, repairing, replacing, and painting body components and parts as required using all necessary tools; including, but not limited to: drill press, grinder, welder, spray gun and other metalworking tools and within the scheduled amount of time and ensuring efficient, safe, and economical utilization of facilities, tools, components, and consumables, while ensuring customer satisfaction levels and company objectives are achieved.
  • Examines buses to identify defects and/or damage, determines repairs required, and notifies Supervisor of needed repair.
  • Inspects buses after repairs to ensure all work has been carried out to the highest standard prior to delivery to the customer.
Minimum Requirements of the position are:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by appropriate technical courses and related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to obtain vendor supplied paint spraying and mixing certifications within a year.
  • Demonstrates technical and mechanical product knowledge.
  • Must be age 18 or older.
Certifications or Licenses Required:
  • Valid driver’s license for state of residence must be maintained throughout employment.
