Job description

Responsibilities
  • Identify requirements for maintenance and production resources to modify body weld systems
  • Improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Responsible to gain consensus cross-functionally for process improvement opportunities
  • Develop the production process to ensure meeting safety standards, quality standards, cost targets, environmental and OSHA regulations
  • Coordinate and/or lead projects within the Body Planning team and prioritize activities based upon business needs
  • Create a continuous improvement environment to develop best-in-class production systems
  • Coordinate production trials for model changes
  • Coordinate team members and develop teamwork
  • Coordinate activities with maintenance team to minimize production delays
  • Develop systems to meet KPI's and analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements
  • Monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity, and develop improvement activities
  • Complete projects on schedule and within budgets
  • Provide direction and assistance to analyze production issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or related field of study
  • 36 months of experience including proprietary PLC and robot programming language
  • Automotive body weld experience
  • Lean manufacturing / visual systems
