Job description

Position Summary

We are a family owned, independent collision center looking for a skilled Auto Body Technician who knows the work from the floor up. This is a hands on bench role for a tech who takes pride in clean, complete, safe repairs and wants steady volume in a shop that looks out for its people. You will perform structural and cosmetic repairs to manufacturer standards, work established dealer and DRP volume, and stand behind your work before it goes out the door. No corporate red tape, just a well run shop, a tight crew, and the autonomy to do the job right.

Key Responsibilities

Repair and Production

  • Perform body, structural, frame, and panel repair and replacement on collision damaged vehicles
  • Handle metal finishing, welding, bonding, and panel alignment to spec
  • Diagnose visible and hidden damage and communicate supplement needs to the estimator before they become delays
  • Meet cycle time and delivery commitments without cutting corners on quality

Quality and Repair Integrity

  • Repair every vehicle thoroughly and safely to manufacturer repair procedures, including required scanning and calibration
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area
  • Inspect your own work and stand behind it before delivery

Collaboration and Workflow

  • Work alongside the estimator and shop management on repair plans and supplements
  • Support DRP workflow, with State Farm as the primary carrier
  • Keep production moving and help the shop hit its quality and capture goals


Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven collision and body repair experience; you understand the work well enough to plan and execute it
  • Competency in both structural and non structural repair
  • Working knowledge of safe, proper repair standards and manufacturer procedures, including scanning and calibration
  • Ability to read and work from estimates in CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex
  • Own set of tools
  • Low ego, team first attitude suited to a small, independent family shop
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred

  • Import and dealer collision experience (Lexus, Subaru, Toyota)
  • I CAR or ASE training or certification
  • DRP experience, State Farm a strong plus
  • Frame and structural specialization
  • Ark La Tex ties or genuine openness to relocating to Shreveport
