Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs a wide range of diagnostic testing with precision and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical abilities, independent judgment, and strict adherence to established laboratory protocols while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple departments (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, etc.)
  • Analyze specimens and validate results with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of laboratory instruments and analyzers
  • Follow all quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

  • Florida Licensed Medical Technologist required
  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) required

  • Strong understanding of laboratory testing principles, instrumentation, and safety
