Job description

Compensation: $29-$39/hr • Pay is based on experience and certifications
Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday • 8:30am - 5:00pm | Rotating Saturdays 8am - 12pm
Tri-State Bobcat is looking for a reliable, experienced diesel mechanic who takes pride in doing quality work the right way. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, safety-minded technician who works well independently and wants long-term stability, strong support, and opportunities to grow with new equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of compact construction and heavy equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure top-notch performance
  • Order parts and maintain inventory as needed for repairs
  • Communicate job progress with the service manager and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Inspect and test equipment after repairs are completed
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of work orders, parts, and labor
  • Uphold safety standards and keep your work area organized and efficient
  • Participate in company-paid training to stay current with new equipment and technology updates (including limited out-of-state training)

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a mechanic in diesel engine repair and service
  • Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
  • Experience operating Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment
  • Strong computer skills for diagnostics and record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills and a commitment to completing jobs on schedule
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and perform other physical tasks in various work environments
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
