Job description

At Bob Boldt HVAC, LLC, we specialize in performance-based system design, offering homeowners clear, data-driven options backed by whole-system testing, airflow verification, and comprehensive performance reports. Every installation comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

As a Senior HVAC Technician, you'll diagnose and repair complex residential HVAC systems, including calls other technicians couldn't resolve. You'll run full-system health assessments on every maintenance call, document your findings, and walk homeowners through repair-versus-replace options honestly and without pressure. You'll also review diagnostics and mentor less experienced technicians and apprentices.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of a job from first call to final sign-off, can explain technical findings to a homeowner with no HVAC background, and wants to mentor other techs rather than just work solo. Documentation and verification should feel like part of the job, not an afterthought.

Compensation:

$90,000 - $150,000 yearly


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex residential HVAC systems, including calls other technicians couldn't resolve, ensuring each job is thoroughly tested and documented before completion.

  • Conduct comprehensive system health assessments during maintenance visits, providing homeowners with a detailed status report.

  • Present clear repair-versus-replace options with transparent pricing, so homeowners can make informed decisions on their own terms.

  • Identify potential replacement opportunities and hand them off to the Comfort Advisor with full context.

  • Maintain complete and accurate records in ServiceTitan, including photos, system readings, and job notes, for every call.

  • Review diagnostics and job documentation from less experienced technicians and apprentices, and mentor them toward this level.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Comfortable using iPad and field service software (ServiceTitan or similar).

  • U.S. work authorization.

You do NOT need:

  • EPA 608 before day one — preferred, but we'll sponsor the right candidate.

  • Commercial or new construction experience — this is residential service.

  • Your own tools — the company provides equipment.

  • ServiceTitan experience specifically — we'll train you on our system.
