Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care Center (MVAHCS) Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. Comprehensive health care is provided through primary care, tertiary care and long-term care in areas of medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, geriatrics and extended care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

The Diagnostic Radiological Technologist - Cardiovascular (DRT-CV) is a member of the Cardiac Catheterization Team with current and active experience scrubbing in for Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology procedures in the Cardiac Catherization Suite. He/she must be able to independently carry out a variety of complex physiological and radiological procedures. He/she performs highly specialized invasive radiological cardiovascular, structural heart, intra coronary ultrasound and complex electrophysiology procedures without the direct supervision of a Cardiologist. The Contractor's Diagnostic Radiological Technologist-Cardiovascular shall cover the range of complex physiological and radiological procedures as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards.

Requirements:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and/or Registered Radiology Technologist with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.
  • Cardiac Catherization Suite. relating to Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology Procedures in the and expertise, i.e.: any education, internships, licenses, certifications, or awards in areas Diagnostic Radiology Technician - Cardiovascular specialized training
  • Active and current experience for Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Cardiovascular.
  • Catherization Suite. Electrophysiology Procedures and Interventional Cardiology Procedures in the Cardiac Experience scrubbing in for
  • Experience and full knowledge of radiation techniques and protection standards.

Term of contract: June 1, 2021 – November 30, 2021 with one available option period.
