Field Service Technician
Level: Experienced

Travel %: Road Warrior (extensive national travel)

Position Summary
Responsible for repairing and servicing boats in the field and at production facilities.
Job Responsibilities
  • Repair boats in the field or at production facilities as directed
  • Act as liaison between company and dealer/customer
  • Properly care for company equipment, ensuring the field service vehicle and all field service equipment is well maintained; report all deficiencies in equipment and oversee their repair as directed
  • Control travel expenses
  • Keep a positive and professional attitude when working under adverse and difficult situations
  • Report on the cost of repairs and other projects
  • Work with other staff to promote a team approach to problem solving
  • Conduct training sessions with dealers' service personnel
  • Operate, navigate and handle all Tiara Yachts in a safe and competent manner
  • Other duties as directed by the Sr. Manager of Dealer & Service Support

Education & Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Must be capable of operating the field service vehicle, have a current operator's license, and travel extensively on airlines
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of all phases of boat repair, including fiberglass, mechanical and electrical skills
  • Must be able to communicate well in written and oral communications with customers, dealers and Tiara Yachts employees.
  • Must present and conduct oneself on a professional level with a positive attitude

  • Pass a background check, drug test and physical
  • Ability to work overtime as requested
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment
  • Willingness to work on a team or individually
  • Able to follow manufacturing instructions and understand processes
  • Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area (safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
  • Must follow company safety guidelines
  • Must be fluent in the English language; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
