Boat Detailer / Yard Attendant Duties:

Exterior and Interior Detailing:

  • Wash and clean boat exteriors using appropriate agents.
  • Remove dirt, salt, and stains to achieve a polished finish.
  • Clean and polish stainless steel, aluminum, and chrome.
  • Apply wax and polish for protection and enhancement.
  • Buff and shine hulls, decks, and fiberglass areas.
  • Vacuum and clean boat interiors, including upholstery.
  • Treat and clean vinyl surfaces, ensuring stain-free results.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

Yard and Equipment Handling:

  • Ensure organization and tidiness of the boat yard and storage areas.
  • Arrange boats for easy access and retrieval, ensuring proper placement in the yard.
  • Safely operate yard equipment (such as forklifts and trailers) for boat movement.
  • Assist in launching and hauling boats.
  • Monitor and inspect boats regularly for cleanliness, damage, and any necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure proper boat placement and readiness.
  • Report any issues or required repairs promptly to the service team.
  • Assist customers in locating and accessing their boats when needed.

Equipment and Safety:

  • Properly handle detailing equipment, including buffers and power washers.
  • Maintain and clean tools for optimal performance.
  • Follow guidelines for safe chemical use and proper handling of cleaning agents.
