A&A Riverways Supply Boat Delivery Operator/Driver

A & A Riverways is currently looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Boat Delivery Drivers.! This position gets the opportunity to deliver supplies and groceries for live-on boats for the inland water ways. You get to fulfill crewsโ€™ favorite potato chips or a line boat cooks favorite cake mix to keep the riverways fueled and moving.

Grocery delivery is an integral part of the transportation industry and essential in making the Inland Riverways work! These crews canโ€™t just run out to a store if they forgot a snackโ€ฆ thatโ€™s where we come in! We offer grocery and supplies delivery on the water to a variety of different locations. A & A is highly dedicated to customer service, and our customers rely on us to deliver!

Job Description:

Delivering grocery and supplies to line boats on the Inland Waterways. Will be required to but not limited to running the A&A Delivery Boat, driving a box truck and or truck with trailer to transport supplies to the Tri-State Area.

USCG Pilot License not required, but favorable

CDL not required, but favorable

This position is extremely fast paced. You will spend time in all departments in grocery stores, but mostly delivering the groceries and supplies to vessels on the river. The home base location is in South Side Paducah Area. A&A Riverways Boat Delivery Driver have one focus: to fill and dispense orders in a safe and timely manner. Ensuring the accuracy of orders prior to pick up. With heavy focus on Safety and food safety regulations while completing the tasks required.

Duties and responsibilities:

Assist fellow associates as needed in store

Keep area clean, stocked, and safe

Must be 18 years old and have reliable transportation.

Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (bulk items and cases of drinks)

The position requires effective written communication in order to complete required daily reports.

Effective verbal communication is also necessary in order to allow the individual to give/receive

instructions over a radio, loudspeaker or person to person. Manage fast-paced day-to-day operations. Continuously identify and implement innovations to improve productivity. It is interictal for this position to provide a positive customer service experience to the recipients of the deliveries.


Attention To food Safety Practices is required. Adhere to local, State, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.


Walkways are often narrow (approximately 2 feet in width) requiring good balance and coordination. All

employees must be able to wear personal protective equipment including a life vest, safety shoes, clothing, and hearing protection.

Working conditions will vary with heat and cold extremes according to season. Additionally, the position

requires working a combination of days and nights throughout the schedule. Work surfaces may be

slippery and hazardous from time to time. Persons must be able to hear safety signals (such as horns,

whistles, and the human voice), and be able to read and understand safety manuals and other written

material such as labels, warnings, gauges and machinery instrumentation.

Position requires good vision for the purpose of safe navigation including the following:

1. Ability to clearly perceive objects up close as well as at distances;

2. Ability to properly perceive the depth of objects;

3. Ability to clearly see during the day as well as at night; and

4. Ability to distinguish between colors.

5. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies with bending, squatting, climbing, and use of hands to preform detailed work duties.

In emergency situations, the position may require the following:

1. Ability to swim or tread water for a period of time

2. Ability to lift a person from the river.
