Description

The J is seeking enthusiastic individuals that have a passion for working with children to provide a safe and engaging environment for children ages 3 months - 11 years.

The J's Clubhouse has two great options for childcare while parents/guardians workout at The J's Fitness Center. The Little J Clubhouse offers engaging playtime and sensory opportunities for your younger children, ages 3 months up to 5 years. The Big J Clubhouse is a more active area for kids ages 5 to 11 years. Here we introduce them to exercise and active play. We have a two-story slide, rock climbing wall, and Ninja Warrior course! We also have quiet areas for crafts, coloring, board games, or homework.


Schedule

We are currently looking for attendants to work:ย 

  • Monday - Friday between 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Essential Functions

  • Engage/Lead children in age-appropriate developmental, sensory, and active play fitness activities
  • Follow all policies and programming outlines to ensure safe, age-appropriate activities for all children
  • Greet children and parents, ensure proper check-in and check-out, and communicate appropriate information at check out
  • Adhere to all staff guidelines during shift
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout department
  • Maintain a positive work environment for staff, children, and parents
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Responsible for daily sterilization of toys, tables and areas of regular use

Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 15 years
  • Enjoys working with and caring for children
  • Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain certification
  • Ability to change work schedule as needed for the program
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skillsย 

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting/carrying up to 20lbs, talking, hearing, and regularly getting up and down from seated position
  • Occasional sitting, pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, crawling and/or climbing stairs/ladders to interact with children including in the play structures present in the clubhouse
  • Occasional exposure to a generally loud environment including gaming and music speakers and children's voices indoors
