Volunteer Board Member

Invisible Warriors is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women veterans beyond the uniform. We create community, support, and connection for women who have served. We believe that every woman veteran has incredible strength and potential, and we're here to help each other thrive in civilian life.

Invisible Warriors is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors. As a board member, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our mission of advocacy and support for women veterans.

Board Member Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and governance oversight to the organization
  • Attend board meetings and actively participate in discussions
  • Serve on committees aligned with your expertise and interests
  • Help raise funds and identify new funding opportunities
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization within your network
  • Review and approve annual budgets, goals, and organizational policies

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for military and women veterans
  • Prior board experience is an asset, but not required
  • Skilled in areas such as finance, marketing, law, fundraising, operations, etc.
  • Connected in the local community with a wide professional network
  • Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities

This is an unpaid volunteer position with an initial 2-year term, renewable upon mutual agreement. Board meetings are held via Zoom on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. Central Time. We are committed to board diversity in all aspects.
