Emergency Physician Positions

The Department of Emergency Medicine in the Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS) and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCAMED) is seeking applications for outstanding Emergency Physicians to join our group.

The Department has over 75 faculty and fellows and over 35 APPs who practice across the three emergency departments. The BMC EM residency program is a 4-year training program. It was the first program in the city and one of the oldest in the Northeast. It has 56 Emergency Medicine residents who rotate at all three clinical sites.

We are looking for talented individuals to join our department in the following areas to help support our Mission: Clinical and Clinical Nocturnist Focus on patient care and bedside teaching of students and residents. Clinician Educator Focus on bedside teaching, curriculum design, and assessment of students and residents.

Academic Areas of Focus โ€“ Early- and mid-Career faculty interested in Health equity/Public Health, EMS, Ultrasound, Clinical Innovation, and Implementation Science/Health Services Researcher.

BMC (Boston, MA)- is the largest and busiest provider of trauma and emergency services in New England; the ED serves more than 130,000 patients annually. BMC is a not-for-profit, 514-bed, academic medical center and Level-1 trauma center that provides a comprehensive range of services in more than 70 areas of medical specialties and subspecialties. It has been recognized and ranked for four specialties among the nation's top 50 by U.S. News & World Report.

BMC South (Brockton, MA) is a designated Level III trauma center with 267 acute care beds. It provides comprehensive emergency and specialized care, serving more than 60,000 ED visits annually, to more than 22 communities in the region. BMC South is recognized for its commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and plays a critical role in supporting the health needs of the South Shore community. It has been nationally recognized for excellence in the treatment of diabetes and heart attack by U.S. News & World Report and recognized by Healthgrades with a 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award.
