Job description

About Blumen
Blumen is rebuilding how America builds infrastructure.
There's over $2 trillion in infrastructure projects stuck in regulatory purgatory across the US right now. Every power plant, transmission line, data center, and pipeline faces the same reality: navigating thousands of federal, state, and local regulations through broken government websites, expensive services that miss critical requirements, and bespoke tools that only work in one state.
We've built the AI platform that aggregates 1,500+ geospatial data layers and regulatory intelligence to generate expert-grade permitting, siting, and regulatory compliance insights in hours instead of weeks. We're working with publicly traded energy companies and the developers building the infrastructure backbone of America's energy transition.
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone who combines the credibility of an experienced environmental consultant with the ambition of an early-stage startup operator.
You've begun building meaningful client relationships at a leading environmental consulting or infrastructure firm, and you want to play a much larger role in defining the future of the industry. You're equally comfortable sitting across the table from senior clients, uncovering complex business problems, and working directly with product and engineering teams to turn those insights into better software.
You'll work alongside our CEO building depth in relationships, running discovery with the teams using our platform, and finding the openings to grow.
What You'll Do
  • Develop opportunities to expand within existing accounts
  • Bring what you learn in the field to our product and engineering teams
  • Keep the account plans current, where each relationship stands and where it's going
  • Represent Blumen with clients, at industry events, and in technical conversations
You'll Likely Have
  • 3-10 years at a respected environmental consulting or infrastructure firm
  • Experience developing and managing strategic client relationships
  • A strong reputation with clients and colleagues
  • Excellent communication and executive presence
  • Curiosity about technology and how AI will reshape environmental work
  • A desire to build something much larger than your current role allows
You Thrive When
  • Building trust with sophisticated customers
  • Expanding relationships over time rather than chasing one-off transactions
  • Asking thoughtful questions that uncover the real problem
  • Connecting commercial opportunities with product strategy
  • Working directly with founders in a fast-moving environment
  • Taking ownership without waiting for permission
Bonus
  • Existing relationships with developers, utilities, environmental consulting firms, or infrastructure owners
  • Experience leading business development or account growth
  • Familiarity with permitting, environmental planning, due diligence, or infrastructure development
Our values
  1. Put yourself in the customer's shoes. We care deeply about serving our customers above all else.
  2. No job is too small. Details matter, even if nobody will ever see them.
  3. Every problem is an opportunity. Any solution that is clever, difficult to reproduce, or takes serious guts is an opportunity to widen our moat.
  4. To go far, go together. We trust, respect, win, and lose together, as a team.
  5. Own the problem. Not your solution. Best idea wins.
  6. It doesn't get easier. We just get faster. There is no finish line. Every day is a step toward compounding success. This is a marathon toward excellence.
