In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry.

The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will directly contribute to the success of Lam's mechatronics team.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the development of electronics used in wireless sensor devices and wafer handling robot control and power boards.
  • Develop new PCBA test plan and perform board bring up.
  • Design and implement FW for Cypress, STM32 or TI MCUs.
  • Job functions are 70% product design and 30% product management.
  • Expectation to be a subject matter expert and guide other engineers in the design process.
Who we’re looking for
  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience or an MSEE with 0+ years. Some industrial experience in electronics board and schematics design process. Experience with wireless and Bluetooth implementation a plus.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronic circuit design principles, ADC, op‑amps, battery management and power management, and inter‑device communication protocols. (SPI, I2C, UART)
  • Strong embedded systems firmware (bare metal / RTOS) development using C/C++
  • Mechatronics and robotics experience a strong plus.
Preferred qualifications
  • Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry or related field.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $99,000.00 - $220,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
