Position Summary

Trulioo is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Strategy & Development to help shape the company’s strategic direction and translate it into coordinated action across the business. Working closely with the Chief Risk & Strategy Officer, this leader will own the continued evolution of Trulioo’s strategic blueprint, strengthen alignment between corporate strategy and functional priorities, and guide execution of the company’s most important strategic initiatives.

This role will build the intelligence, governance, and execution capabilities that allow Trulioo to anticipate market change and make informed choices about where and how to compete. The Senior Director will bring together customer, competitive, regulatory, economic, industry, and product insights to test strategic assumptions, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and inform decisions across organic investment, partnerships, and acquisitions.

This is a highly visible enterprise leadership role at the intersection of strategy, product, transformation, capital allocation, and corporate development. The ideal candidate combines forward-looking strategic judgment with the ability to operationalize ideas—building roadmaps, mobilizing accountable leaders, guiding complex programs, and creating the governance needed to turn strategy into measurable results.

This role is expected to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and continuously optimize how work is performed.

What You'll Be Doing:

Corporate Strategy and Strategic Blueprint Support

  • Continuously test the strategy against market forces, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, customer needs, technology shifts, and emerging opportunity areas.

  • Partner with the Chief Risk & Strategy Officer to prepare strategic recommendations and decision materials for executives, the Board, external advisors, and other key stakeholders.

  • Design scenario analyses that evaluate strategic assumptions, alternative market outcomes, competitive responses, investment choices, and potential disruptions.

  • Identify material risks to the strategy and partner with the Enterprise Risk Office to assess exposure, define responses, and integrate strategic risks into enterprise governance.

  • Develop clear points of view on competitive positioning, market adjacencies, thematic investments, and the capabilities Trulioo will need to win over the long term.

  • Co-lead recurring strategy reviews and recommend when elements of the strategic blueprint should be accelerated, refined, reprioritized, or recast.

Strategy Alignment and Execution

  • Translate the strategic blueprint into enterprise priorities, functional goals, measurable outcomes, and clear execution roadmaps.

  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to align their strategies, investments, roadmaps, OKRs, KPIs, and/or incentives with the company’s strategic direction.

  • Define the scope, activities, sequencing, investment requirements, accountabilities, dependencies, and measures of success for major strategic programs.

  • Establish and chair governance forums that track progress against strategic priorities and create clear paths for decision-making and escalation.

  • Partner with the Transformation Office and accountable workstream leaders to mobilize initiatives, resolve cross-functional blockers, measure progress and performance, and redirect execution when outcomes move off course.

  • Create recurring feedback loops, including shared metrics reviews and strategy check-ins, to identify misalignment early and improve execution.

  • Communicate the strategy across the organization in ways that build understanding of Trulioo’s direction, strategic choices, and highest-priority activities.

MAPS and Capital Allocation Governance

  • Lead MAPS—Trulioo’s quarterly Market Aligned Product Strategy program—to connect corporate strategy and market intelligence with product strategy, investment decisions, and roadmaps.

  • Bring together Product, Engineering, Strategy, Risk and Reg, Sales, Marketing, and GTM leaders to evaluate emerging customer needs and market opportunities.

  • Guide structured decisions on whether Trulioo should build, buy, partner, watch, or pass in response to identified opportunities.

  • Oversee the development of MAPS insight packages covering regulatory change, voice of the customer, competitive moves, market potential, cost of missed opportunity, industry trends, and product performance.

  • In coordination with the Office of the CFO, develop and operate a disciplined capital allocation governance program that connects strategic priorities with investment decisions.

  • Build decision frameworks that clarify opportunity, strategic fit, expected value, investment requirements, trade-offs, risks, and measures of success.

  • Produce a forward-looking point of view on capital allocation priorities informed by Trulioo’s competitive position, portfolio performance, and emerging growth opportunities.

Corporate Development and M&A

  • Support the development of Trulioo’s Build, Buy, and Partner strategy by identifying capability gaps and evaluating inorganic paths to accelerate the strategic blueprint.

  • Support market mapping, opportunity screening, target identification, strategic fit assessments, and ongoing target monitoring.

  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence, including workstream planning, information synthesis, issue escalation, decision support, and executive reporting.

  • Contribute to due diligence activities and deal-structure considerations in partnership with Finance, Legal, Product, Technology, Risk, and external advisors.

  • Develop scalable models, AI agents, and analytical tools that strengthen opportunity screening, target intelligence, diligence, and transaction decision-making.

  • Capture relevant integration considerations during diligence and translate findings into clear implications for value creation, execution complexity, and transaction risk.

Market Insights and Strategic Intelligence

  • Design and operate Trulioo’s enterprise market insights program as a continuously running intelligence engine for strategy, product development, investment, and commercialization.

  • Produce forward-looking insights, including market landscapes, competitive positioning, opportunity sizing, thematic investment perspectives, regulatory outlooks, and voice-of-the-customer analysis.

  • Build repeatable methods for gathering, validating, synthesizing and distributing intelligence across the organization.

  • Translate complex signals into clear strategic implications, executive-level reporting, and actionable recommendations.

  • Deliver relevant insights to executives, Product, Engineering, Risk and Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, and GTM teams through recurring briefings, dashboards, decision forums, and targeted analyses.

  • Develop measures that demonstrate how market intelligence improves strategic decisions, product prioritization, capital allocation, and commercial outcomes.

What You'll Bring:
  • 15+ years of experience across corporate strategy, corporate development, strategic finance, management consulting, market intelligence, transformation, or related leadership roles.

  • Significant experience in one or more relevant sectors, including payments, financial services, banking, marketplaces, SaaS, fintech, identity, fraud, or RegTech.

  • A degree in economics, business, finance, strategy, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • A builder mindset and strong experience working and deploying AI tools and models to improve functional processes, drive automation, rethink problem solving, and transform traditional ways of working.

  • Demonstrated experience developing corporate or product strategies and translating them into enterprise priorities, functional roadmaps, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes.

  • Experience operating in complex, global, and highly cross-functional organizations.

  • Experience leading large-scale strategic or transformation programs involving multiple executives, functions, and dependencies.

  • Meaningful experience supporting acquisitions, including opportunity assessment, target screening, due diligence, transaction analysis, and integration planning.

  • Advanced analytical and scenario-planning capabilities, with the ability to work through ambiguity and make clear recommendations from incomplete or conflicting information.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills and experience preparing materials for executive leadership, Boards, and external advisors.

  • The judgment and executive presence to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions, facilitate difficult trade-offs, and drive decisions.

Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to identity verification, fraud prevention, credit insights, financial crime, or regulatory technology.

  • Experience supporting IPO readiness, public-company strategy, or Board-level capital allocation processes.

  • Direct experience leading post-acquisition integration or value-creation programs.

  • An advanced degree in economics, business, finance, or a related discipline.
