This position supports our steel construction activities from start to finish working through all phases of the project from concept sketch to last bolt installed. The work will be based in either our Loveland, Colorado or Golden, Colorado offices and you must be willing to travel between offices and jobsites as required. Responsibilities

Assisting during preconstruction services for activities such as estimating, logistic planning, and schedule creation for structural and miscellaneous steel projects using Revit, Bluebeam, Excel, and a proprietary Cost Modeler

In-depth review of Contract Documents during all phases of design in attempts to identify and control cost, missing information, and risk.

Help develop innovative construction means and methods to increase efficiency

Collaborate with detailers, structural engineers, architects, fabricators, erectors, and general contractors

Lead a team of steel detailers through the detailing process on your project, solving obstacles of tolerances, sequencing, and many other constraints.

Perform buyout, maintain budgets, and manage the project through fabrication and erection with our valued trade partners

Attend and even lead jobsite meetings and meetings with our trade partners with an eye on safety, quality, and exceeding client expectations

Developing and maintaining strong client relationships

Actively participating in a team environment

Required Qualifications

Minimum BS in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management

Able to work in the US now and in the future WITHOUT sponsorship

Must be thorough with high attention to detail

Self-starter and active problem solver

Working familiarity with standard commercial building codes

Revit experience or willingness to learn

Understanding of standard business software such as Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam

2 years minimum in the build industry

Bonus Qualifications

3 years of either structural engineering or 4 years of project management experience on steel structures and miscellaneous metals

Experience working on commercial steel projects

MS with an emphasis in structures or experience managing steel buildings preferred

Experience working for a steel fabrication or erection company

Proficiency with Revit

Proficiency working in Bluebeam

Salary

$86,000 – $98,000 Annually
