Blue Ridge Behavioral Health is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our telehealth team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide vital mental health services to a diverse client base from the comfort of your own home. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for maximum flexibility and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, including pre-crisis and crisis interventions.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment approaches.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation that complies with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and implement positive behavior support plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and various service systems, state agencies, and community partners to navigate barriers to care.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including attending workshops, conferences, and state meetings, to stay informed about the latest best practices in mental health care.
  • Promote the agency's mission and values within the community by fostering relationships with stakeholders and advocating for clients’ needs.
  • Assist the Clinic Director with additional tasks as required to support overall clinic operations and client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The licensed counselor will work with a diverse clientele that spans various age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds. Clients may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other mental health challenges. Counselors will provide a safe and supportive environment that allows clients to navigate their mental health journeys and work towards achieving personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • The candidate must hold an Independent LMHC License recognized by the state of Virginia.
  • Strong ability to maintain clinical records, prepare reports, and manage documentation requirements effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
