Role Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for in-depth analysis and documentation related to the successful transition from idea to project to automation deployment and will support ongoing automation monitoring/maintenance within the Business Operations Automation Team.
Thesuccessful individual will be required to show an aptitude for learning,effective questioning, taking initiative and identifying areas for processimprovements in addition to strong written communication skills.

Role Responsibilities

Process Analysis & Documentation

  • Engage with business partners across all teams to validate business requirements and conduct indepth process analysis and documentation for processes that are automation candidates.
  • Prepare automation project documentation and ensure all auditable documentation is stored appropriately
  • Intake and initial analysis/process design document
  • Solution design documentation (in partnership with automation developers)
  • Required approvals received
  • Business hand off documentation development and delivery
  • Developer checklists and approvals completed pre deployment
  • Review internal project Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) to assess risks and dependencies to existing automations
  • Support automation implementation for new client onboarding
  • Review client requirements and suitability for addition to existing automations
  • Support documentation for new automations identified.

Automation Team Support

  • Monitor automation status alerts
  • Monitor and update request/incident tickets assigned to the automation team.
  • Support simple automation maintenance (i.e. digital worker restarts, credential maintenance)
  • Monitor vendor service alerts and release notes
  • Identify risks to our automation program
  • Identify and document release impacts to existing automations and raise change tickets to address same
  • Identify new opportunities
  • Monitor for new tools/features and support suitability assessment of same.
  • Maintain automation status and results reporting

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Support Automation User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including:
  • Support development of test plans and supporting documentation
  • Tester support in partnership with internal business teams
  • Execute testing as needed

Change Management, Communication & Training

  • Participate in weekly automation change review
  • Proactively communicate all initiatives, enhancements, releases, fixes, and system changes impacting the Process Automation Team.
  • Collaborate with the Business Operations Learning & Development team to:
  • Identify training impacts and readiness needs
  • Assist with the development of training materials, job aids, and process documentation
  • Represent the Automation team at the Enterprise Change Board to monitor for IT changes that may impact automation tools.

Project & Client Engagement

  • Assist with project management of automation deployments
  • Lead meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings as required.

Vendor Management

  • Participate in regular vendor touchpoints
  • Attend vendor release/update presentations
  • Attend vendor training sessions as required

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in a development environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Very strong ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple, concurrent, projects and tasks
  • Team Player, able to work in a team environment with shared goals and accountabilities
  • Strong research / information gathering / analytical and problem-solving skills - takes a logical approach to analyzing problems.
  • Ability to identify the business impact of changes and seek input as needed.
  • Proactive in acquiring information to develop new skills to improve job performance. Grasps new material quickly and easily, and applies new information, concepts and procedures in a constructive manner

Salary Range
Pay Range (CAD ): 63,000 - 80,000
The above reflects an industry-benchmarked target compensation range. The salary offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business needs.
