Job description

Some of what you will do:

We are seeking a Process Automation Engineer who can analyze existing business processes, design improved future-state workflows and implement automation solutions using low-code platforms.

This role combines process analysis, automation design, and hands-on configuration of automation workflows using platforms such as UiPath and other AI-enabled tools. The ideal candidate can independently build most automation workflows but will collaborate with software developers when deeper technical solutions or custom integrations are required.

The goal of this role is to identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, streamline operations, and apply AI-driven automation across the business.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Work with business stakeholders, manage expectations, and align teams to deliver outcomes
  • Have a strategic vision for the automation platforms, including how they're designed, configured, and supported
  • Provide after-hour support as required
  • Build automation workflows using low-code platforms such as UiPath Studio or Power Automate
  • Produce documentation such as, process maps, automation design documents and business requirements
  • Quantify potential benefits such as time savings, cost reduction, or error reduction.
  • Interview stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and inefficiencies.

Some of what you need:

  • Degree in business, computer science, or engineering with relevant work experience 
  • 5 + years working as a business analyst, systems analyst or in a process improvement role
  • Experience working in agile or product delivery environments
  • Strong knowledge of emerging AI technologies 
  • Strong understanding of RPA (experience with UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere is preferred)
  • Familiarity with APIs and system integrations with basic understanding of scripting or programming (eg. C#, Python)
  • Experience with low-code automation platforms (preferred: UiPath)
  • Strong ability to analyze and redesign business processes with mapping tools (Visio, Miro, etc.) 

Physical demands/working conditions:

Office environment - Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
