Job description

We are seeking a Procurement Automation Engineer to drive digital transformation, process automation, and data-driven decision-making within the Procurement organization.

This role combines procurement and supply chain knowledge with automation, data analytics, ERP systems, and AI technologies. The Procurement Automation Engineer will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Finance, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to identify manual and repetitive processes and develop scalable digital solutions.

The primary objective of this role is to reduce manual transactional work, improve process efficiency and data quality, and enable procurement professionals to focus on higher-value activities such as strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost reduction, and risk management.

This is a hands-on role requiring both strong technical capability and an understanding of business processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with Procurement team members to identify repetitive, manual, and time-consuming activities that can be automated or simplified.

Analyze current procurement workflows and identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions for procurement and supply chain processes.

Automate workflows such as purchase order management, supplier communication, RFQ processes, approvals, data collection, reporting, and exception management.

Develop automated alerts and workflows for issues such as overdue purchase orders, late supplier deliveries, missing confirmations, price discrepancies, and other procurement exceptions.

Measure automation results including hours saved, process cycle-time reduction, data accuracy, adoption, and productivity improvement.

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Experience developing business process automation, analytics, applications, or digital solutions.

Strong experience with one or more of the following: Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, Python, APIs/system integration, RPA or workflow automation.
